Hotel Louvre Montana is nestled in the heart of the 1st arrondissement on the right bank, just off Rue Saint-Honoré and stone’s throw from the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens. This hidden gem of a boutique hotel masterfully blends timeless French elegance with contemporary Parisian interiors.

I booked the Hotel Louvre Montana as a base to stay whilst on an Aurélie buying trip due to the hotel’s central location which is pretty hard to beat. I usually go to the showrooms to buy Aurélie pieces first thing in the morning, and as my mum had joined me on this trip I wanted to be central for when we returned to relax in the late afternoon and into the evening.

The very first time I went to Paris was with my mum, I was 19 and studying Fashion Marketing and Communications at University. We’d gone for a research trip for my dissertation and most importantly a mummy/daughter weekend. Back then we stayed at a hotel just off the Rue Saint-Honoré (which sadly no longer exists) so there was a part of me that wanted to recreate that special first weekend when I had turned around to her and said “I’m going to live in Paris one day “ (roll on 18 months and I was living there!), the location of this hotel enabled us both to fondly reminisce of that trip.

Anyway, back to the hotel review! Upon entering, you’re immediately struck by the hotel’s chic yet modern design. The lobby features a mix of contemporary French interiors and classic Parisian details including a traditional French marble fireplace with large white and gold beaded mirror.

With just 27 rooms, the hotel feels more like a stylish Parisian apartment than a traditional hotel. Each room is thoughtfully designed, featuring a palette of soft hues—think teal blues, creams, and muted golds—that evoke a sense of calm. I loved that the rooms have traditional French windows that open to offer views of the Parisian streets below or the peaceful courtyard. Some rooms have a juliette balcony, and others even provide a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre.

We stayed in a Deluxe room as we wanted twin beds, and at 17m² it was spacious by Parisian hotel standards. Amenities included a Nespresso machine, flat-screen TV and the bathroom was spotlessly clean, stocked with toiletries by one of my favourite French beauty brands Nuxe.

Breakfast at Hotel Louvre Montana is relaxed and served on the ground floor. You will find a classic European breakfast of freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate, artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and seasonal fresh fruits, all sourced from local suppliers.

What I loved most about this hotel is that it is located on a quiet street, so very little noise at night which for such a central location was a real bonus. If it’s your first time in Paris, it’s a great base as it’s just a short walking distance from the Louvre, Tuilleries, Palais Royal ,Musée d’Orsay, the shops located Rue Saint-Honoré (one of if not the best shopping street in Paris) Opéra or across the river to St Germain. If you need the Metro, Line 1 is just a couple of minutes walk away.

The front of house team was warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They gave us personalized recommendations and assisted with dinner reservations. So whether you’re visiting Paris for the first time or returning for the umpteenth, Hotel Louvre Montana is a great little 4 star boutique hotel.
