The Insider's Guide to Vintage Shopping in Paris

A neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood edit of the boutiques worth crossing the city for.

Curated by Lucy for the Aurélistas

8th Arrondissement - Golden Triangle & Faubourg Saint-Honoré (Right Bank)

Valois Vintage

Best for Chanel and Hermès handbags

Since 1998, Valois Vintage has long been a favourite among Parisian fashion insiders for its unwavering focus on immaculate condition and timeless brands. Here you'll find a vast array of Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags, jewellery and  beautifully maintained classic pieces. It's like stepping back in time, into a rich Parisian's walk in wardrobe.

📍 8 Rue des Saussaies, 75008 Paris — 8th Arrondissement, Golden Triangle

Old Fashioned Club

Best for effortless consignment finds

Old Fashioned Club (along with Valois which is pretty much next door)  is quietly one of Paris's most stylish vintage consignment boutiques. Its edit feels tailor-picked for the modern woman who values taste over trend, think vintage Hermès scarves here, a perfect 1980s blazer there,  all immaculately preserved and ready to slot effortlessly into today's wardrobe. If you have budget or a special birthday coming up, the Old Fashioned Club is a must!

📍 4 Rue des Saussaies, 75008 Paris — 8th Arrondissement, Faubourg Saint-Honoré

1st Arrondissement - Palais Royal & Louvre (Right Bank)

Didier Ludot

Best for haute couture

The undisputed haute couture temple of Parisian vintage. Didier Ludot's boutique in the Palais Royal transformed Paris vintage into an institution when he opened here in 1974. For over 50 years, Ludot's edit of couture masterworks has included pieces by YSL, Dior and Balenciaga. It feels more like a living museum than a shop (and a price tag to match!).

📍 24 Galerie de Montpensier, 75001 Paris — 1st Arrondissement, Palais Royal

Le Marais - 3rd & 4th Arrondissements (Right Bank)

The Room Vintage

Best for sharp tailoring and statement coats.

One of the Marais's most loved vintage destinations by fashionistas and TikToker's alike. The Room is a curated mix of elegance and edgey. From sharp tailoring to statement coats and iconic accessories.

📍 14 Rue des Écouffes, 75004 Paris — Le Marais

The Parisian Vintage

Best for luxury Parisian style.

As the name suggests, this boutique captures the essence of Parisian dressing. You'll find a curated collection of wearable pieces, last time I visited I saw a classic pea coat by Céline, handbags by Chanel, iconic dresses by Balmain to name a few.

📍 20 Rue Saint-Claude, 75003 Paris — Le Marais

Différente Vintage

Best for affordable designer finds.

A boutique that never feels overwhelming, Différente champions beautiful, wearable pieces with soul. The edit is chic, slightly directional and always thoughtfully curated. The last time I visited, I personally came out with a vintage brown faux fur swing coat and a cream bouclé Marella jacket with navy and red trim (both items for under €140!)

📍 10 Rue des Gravilliers, 75003 Paris — Le Marais

Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Left Bank)

Mademoiselle Joséphine

Best for feminine, romantic pieces that Bridgette Bardot would wear.

Romantic, refined and quietly luxurious, Mademoiselle Joséphine's edit feels like a love letter to feminine Parisian style. Think delicate dresses, silk blouses and pieces that speak softly but stylishly. If you want to channel your inner Bridgette Bardot and find a feminine piece, this is the place to visit.

📍 16 Rue des Saints-Pères, 75007 Paris — Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Gabrielle Geppert

Best for couture-level tailoring.

When I worked in Paris, it was widely known that this Saint-Germain-des-Prés destination was beloved by fashion editors and stylists for its couture-level vintage edit. It's still just as good today. Here you will find impeccable tailoring and archival classics from top fashion houses.

📍 3 Rue de Lille, 75007 Paris — Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Ragtime

Best for 20th-century Haute Couture.

Ragtime is run by Françoise Auget, one of the city's true experts in 20th-century haute couture. The edit spans the 1920s through the 1990s, think fabric, cut and craftsmanship that rarely surfaces elsewhere. Less a shop than a masterclass, this is the address serious collectors keep to themselves.

📍 23 Rue de l'Échaudé, 75006 Paris — Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Les 3 Marches de Catherine B

Best for vintage Chanel and Hermès in St Germain.

Tiny, tightly edited and utterly addictive, Les 3 Marches is the definitive Left Bank address for vintage Chanel and Hermès. Owner Catherine B is regarded as one of the foremost authorities on both houses,  her eye has drawn stylists and collectors here since 1994. Come for a single Kelly bag or a Chanel jacket in an exclusive colourway you'll never see again.

📍 1 Rue Guisarde, 75006 Paris — Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Chercheminippes

Best for effortless Parisian staples.

An institution of the Left Bank vintage circuit, Chercheminippes delights with its calm, classic energy and elegant edit. Here you'll find beautifully worn jackets, femininely cut dresses and quiet Parisian staples,  the kind of effortless vintage pieces the neighbourhood itself is known for.

📍 84 Rue de Grenelle, 75007 Paris — Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Archives Vintage

Best for archival, sculptural pieces

Steeped in Saint-Germain's literary and artistic energy, Archives Vintage offers a refined and thoughtfully curated collection of designer names.

📍 21 Rue Dupin, 75006 Paris — Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Canal Saint-Martin (Right Bank)

Thanx God I'm a VIP

best for statement, editor-style pieces

If you are looking for a statement piece, Thanx God I'm a VIP is a must. It feels like stepping into a fashion editor's wardrobe — bold silhouettes, rare designer pieces and an unmistakable je ne sais quoi. It's cool, creative and irreverent in the best possible way, perfect for those seeking standout archival treasures.

📍 12 Rue de Lancry, 75010 Paris — Canal Saint-Martin
